Autumn Exhibition 2026
This year’s Autumn Exhibition on 3rd October was a success despite a lower footfall than last year and some operational difficulties with the layouts. Still – we had positive feedback and everybody seemed to enjoy it. Also, we had some generous customers at the club sales stand so it did very well making some surplus for the club accounts.
Film Night
The Film Night postponed from 15th October has been postponed again until Thursday 10th December. The indisposition of the film crew (Peter) has made this necessary, so we hope for a good turn-out for the films and mince pies in December.
Annual Exhibition 2027
more The 45th Annual Exhibition will be held at Queens’ School on Saturday 8th May 2027.
We already have 19 layouts confirmed in a great variety of scale, era and location so we expect another exciting show.

Annual Barbeque 2026
The annual barbeque was very well attended and everybody had a good chance to chat, enjoy the food ably cooked by Peter and Graham and have a lookout for the Night Sleeper from the back of the garden!
Annual Exhibition 2026
The Exhibition on May 9th was a success, with over 450 paying visitors accompanied by over 100 children enjoying the show. Thanks to all who attended and telling us what a good exhibition it was for variety of layouts, plenty of sales stands to capture their interest, and, of course, a well stocked snack bar.

Lincolnsfield Open Days
The remaining Open Day for this year is on Sunday 29th November. We always hope to have at least two layouts up and running to show to visitors. Enquiries about our layouts and membership of the Society are always welcome.
Volunteers are requested to add their names to the attendance sheet on the club notice board for availability to help operate the layouts and welcome visitors.
Outside Exhibitions
Where we are going with our layouts is listed on the diary page. Next is Silverbury at the NEC on 21st/22nd November.
‘Back to Basics’ sessions
These are aimed at beginners who want to broaden their knowledge but as there are a wide range of topics (such is our hobby) many members may like to attend 1 or 2 of the sessions.
The format will be in groups of 3-4 and will include a ‘have a go’ section where attendees can ‘get their hands dirty’. Sessions can be repeated if numbers interested exceed the small group size, so no one will miss out.
Further sessions are pending but we intend to include one on ‘Scratch Building”.
